OK FOLKS.....
It is CATCH UP TIME
here in River City (or Brunswick)!

We have been home from our Alaskan Cruise 4 days and it is about time I get caught up on that fantastic trip!  The internet was so S - L - O - W on board....painfully slow.  And we ended up wasting about $100 trying to get it to work.  Hence, the delay!!

I am going to pick up in JUNEAU, ALASKA because I really did not get to post many pictures while there.  It was just beautiful and I don't want to miss any of that beauty!  We were in Juneau on Tuesday, July 5th.    We were told the only way in and out of Juneau was was either BOAT or by AIRPLANE!  No roads going in and out.  Therefore, you can imagine just how expensive things are to buy there.

Our excursion today would take us to MENDENHALL GLACIER as our first stop.  It was gorgeous....we walked back to the glacier.
Cute shot of Becky and David and their kids in front of the Glacier.  Crew finally gave up the ghost and fell asleep!
That BLUE color in the ice is for real!!  It looks just like somebody threw a bottle of blue food color in the water.  Such a beautiful shade too.
Becky took a picture of Wayne and I in front of the glacier.  Loved the cooler weather...reminded us of Finland.  AAAHHH how we miss being in Finland.
On to the next stop on todays excursion......a SALMON HATCHERY.  It was a very interesting place to visit.  We were only there about 1 hour.....just long enough to get some 'salmon information'.
Our last stop of our excursion today would be at a SALMON BAKE.  It was very nicely done!
There was even an Alaskan Husky dog there to greet us as we came in.  And, of course, little Miss Claire Esther was the first one over to greet this friendly big dog.  Bless her heart.....she wants a dog in the worst way. She just needs to be a bit more patient while mom and dad come around to that idea!
This guy had his work cut out for himself cooking all of those salmon fillets!
After eating it was time to see if Wayne could find some GOLD in them thar hills!  No Luck....he had fun though.
It was then back to the ship.  It was a fun day.....and actually the ONLY day we had a few little showers which didn't last that long.
