GLACIER BAY
Thursday, July 7th.....

This was a day we would have an 'excursion' from the ship.  This was the day where having a balcony would pay off!!
We sailed into the inlet where Glacier Bay was located.  Only about 2 ships a day could go here because of the small size of the location.  It was well worth the trip just for the sights here.

We docked along side of the glacier for about an hour with the boat turning oh so slowly so everyone could get a good look!
I think you will agree that this was just a GORGEOUS sight.
We spent most of our time on our balcony.
Being sometimes a little UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL with the Glacier....as close as we could get and still be safe.  The face of the glacier was a mile wide and very impressive.
 Just enjoying the sights.
And yet another shot with the Glacier in the background.
Claire and Becky were so cute out on the balcony enjoying the sights.
 AAAHHHHH..........
Crew even enjoyed his little vantage point on the balcony as well.
We had 3 or 4 rangers who come on board early in the morning to be our 'tour guides' all day long.  To tell us all of the sights we were seeing.  They were very knowledgable.  Here they are leaving to head back to their 'ranger stations' having given us lots of good information.
At dinner tonight we had one of the head waiters make a FROG for the kids.  He was trying to keep them entertained.  It actually worked for a while too.
Another successful day at sea!
