WHERE ON EARTH.....
does the time go to!!??

I can't believe it has been a week and a half since we got home from our GOINS FAMILY REUNION in Mt. Airy, North Carolina.  It has been such a busy, busy time.  Come on.....slow down world so we can enjoy life a little bit more!

On THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28TH there was an Open House at the NEW Brunswick Fire Station in Brunswick Crossing.  Jonathan is the architect of that beautiful new building.  Wayne and I decided to go by and get a little 'tour' on our way down to work at NCFA.  We have been anxious to see what it was like inside because the outside is so pretty (if it is okay to call a Fire Station pretty!)
Even though it was a rainy, dreary day, there were a lot of folks who turned out to see this beautiful new edifice as well.  We are so proud of Jonathan for the beautiful new building he has brought to his hometown!
As we drove home from Alexandria that night, we were met by a gorgeously beautiful SUNSET.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29TH......MITÄ.....SUOMI?????  EI!!!!  MARYLANDISTA!!!!  (Translated means......What?  Finland??  NO!!!  Maryland!!!

Our FIRST SNOW of the season!  It was beautiful and reminded us so much of being in FINLAND!!!
It was just enough for a beautiful white coating to let us know that WINTER is just around the corner.  BRING IT ON.....WE ARE READY!!!
Just like our apartment in Finland....Wayne decided he wanted a rain / snow gauge and thermometer outside our window so we could watch the activity as it occurs!  Well placed don't you think!
And in keeping with the WINTER MODE.....I gathered some of our european seimi sets to loan to the Washington D.C. Temple Visitor's Center for the holiday attractions they are preparing for there.
The picture above is our FINNISH set of course....handmade by a Finn lady and made of all wool felt.
