AAAHHHHHH....
TIS THE SEASON
even if it a little early we are anxious to decorate and enjoy being home this year!

For the beautiful Christmas Lights to be merry and bright on the Washington D.C. Temple Visitor's Center.  They are more beautiful than we remembered them being.....with some new ones added!
As we arrived for our Temple shift on Friday morning this was the 'reception' that we received, above.  And the view of the Visitor's Center from the temple parking lot as the sun was beginning to RISE!

FRIDAY WAS A VERY, VERY FULL DAY.....with lots of activity after we finished working at the temple.  We had a BOARD MEETING to attend (and give our Constituent Services report) for NCFA.  It was a good meeting and we enjoyed meeting all of the board members.

We headed to Frederick to be at the Dedication of HOOD COLLEGE SPORTS ARENA CENTER which Jonathan was the structural engineer for.  He did a great job and it is a beautiful building.

When we finished there we hurried to Brunswick to do a couple of quick 'things' and Jonathan hurried home to pick Tina up and we all went out to dinner.  It was a celebration dinner......they wanted to take us there a couple of years ago for our anniversary and now they wanted to celebrate our birthdays!  It was a great evening....

We went to the BAVARIAN RESTAURANT in Shepherdstown, West Virginia.  I had an avocado stuffed with shrimp and crab.  It was DELICIOUS!!
We had our waiter take a picture of the 4 of us.  What a fun double date we had.

SATURDAY was suppose to be a really busy day as well.  We are just getting too OLD for these crazy, busy days with not a lot of break to catch our breathe!!

When we finished at the temple we were suppose to go to a Stake High Priest Social at the Stake Center which started at 12:00 noon.  We would not have gotten there until shortly after 2:00 p.m. and it was suppose to end at 3:00 p.m.

Guess what?  We decided to BAG IT and stay home and 'catch' up and 'chill out' and enjoy a little bit of daylight hours in our home and yard.
We are SOOOOOO glad we did because Wayne enjoyed working outside on his tractor and I got the CHRISTMAS TREE decorated.....
And I even got one of our FINNISH NATIVITY SET put out on the table in the living room.  Along with a little Swedish wooden 'set'.

Guess what??  We were suppose to have gone to my 45th High School Class Reunion tonight as well!  And we decided to BAG THAT TOO!!!
So often for us it is a choice between GOOD and GOOD!  And sometimes we just have to say "STOP" so we can breath.  Today was one of those days!  We L-O-V-E being home and being able to catch up.
