Lunch in OLDE TOWNE ALEXANDRIA today

We normally take lunches with us to the office because we are usually busy and don't take a long time for lunch.  However....with NO KITCHEN at the moment we have been taking a bit longer for lunch.

Today we went to a little restaurant that was literally 1 block from the office and 3 doors from this great old church....CHRIST CHURCH built in 1773.  This is also the church where George Washington attended along with Robert E. Lee and many other notable politicians and Presidents of the United States!  Quite the place.....in my hand I am holding our COOKIE we bought for our dessert.
The plaque speaks for itself.....IN MEMORY OF GEORGE WASHINGTON.....
AND we are sitting in the family pew of GEORGE WASHINGTON.
If ever you get to Alexandria you need to stop here....very, very pretty and well maintained.  FREE guided tours.
on the way home today we hit the 10,000 mark on our Brand New Car.....it only went up to 9,999 before returning to 0.0 again (we discovered after the picture that we had it set on the trip-odometer!  Trust us....10,000 and lots more miles to go......
DAY #2 of the KITCHEN REMODEL.....
Started out with going over the details of plugs and light swathes, etc. with Dave the electrician (left) and Randy the contractor (right).....and then we were off to the office.
When we got home we could see progress.....wires, wires, and more wires and a little bit of dry wall and a whole LOT OF DUST!!!  That is progress for you....
Another beautiful SUNSET....FALL is setting in!!  Feels just like Finland....
And YES....we are still loving the direction of our new kitchen.....
