Before we could catch our breath or let any grass grow under our feet, we were off on yet
ANOTHER ROAD TRIP....
This time to the AMISH COUNTRY in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
David and Becky and kiddos had barely left to go back to Arizona and we were headed north. We have noticed a LOT of DEER in our yard since we have been home. Don't know if they have been 'pushed out' of their natural habitat because of Brunswick Crossing being developed, but they are sure well acquainted with our yard.....all 3 acres.
Again, many FAMILIAR scenes as we arrived in Bird-In-Hand.....the great HARDWARE STORE. Love this place......so many neat, neat things.
We had tickets for the SIGHT AND SOUND THEATER in the heart of Lancaster. We have been to a number of productions here and love every one of them. This time we were seeing 'JOSPEH'. This is their 35th anniversary. Amazing. Didn't know they had been there quite that long.
Love watching the Amish families. They are so cute....such a simple way of life and seem to love life to it's fullest.
And they are such HARD, HARD workers....men and women alike.
Something I 'FOUND' in our hotel room......and ICE BUCKET! We have NOT seen one of these for 2 years. And REAL ICE!! Amazing. It was nice to have that again. And an ALMOND JOY in the vending machine. Another amazing 'find'.
'AMOS' was just a waitin for us to take our foto with him. We were happy to accommodate him!
And back home......STILL MORE DEER ALL OVER THE YARD.
