MY HEAVENS.....
IT HAS BEEN LIKE
F - O - R - E - V - E - R!!!!
You would think I had no interest in keeping up on our blog!  Well, quite the contrary.  It just seems like there is so much to do and so little time to get much else done.  Long, long, l-o-n-g days and totally exhausted by the time I even think about adding anything here.  Anteksi (sorry).

I think I have mentioned that we are in the beginning stages of a total REMODEL on our kitchen.  It is a very tired kitchen and needs a big lift.  The CABINETS have been ordered (white)....

The new APPLIANCES have been paid and ordered.....black.  The demolition will begin in about 3 weeks.  Walls will come down and old things come out.  It will open up to make a more FAMILY FRIENDLY kitchen which I am way excited about!  Can NOT wait....but obviously I will have to.  Watch for updates here!!
Last Saturday night we attended the ANNUAL RED, HOT AND BREW Brunswick Main Street event here in town.  Got to love those peanuts on the table to much on while we were waiting for the beef and pork to finish cooking.
It was a SELL-OUT crowd of about 400 people attending.  We brought our own LEMONADE since we don't drink the beer, wine or iced tea that was offered for drinks.
Charlie Smith knows how to cook a meal southern bar-b-que meal.
It was fun to catch up with some old that we haven't seen since our return from Finland.  It was so HOT though.  About 100 degrees at best.
Sunday as we were coming home from church we got to the roundabout close to the house and we noticed a POLICE CRUISER blocking the entrance onto the roundabout from a couple of different directions.  Low and behold......it was a MOTORCYCLE BRIGADE coming through town from somewhere and going to somewhere.  Must have been at least 100 of those folks.  Came and went pretty fast but interesting all the same.
Wayne has had a few DENTS in his Toyota....just the usual little bangs and things!  You know......  :-)  Well, he decided to dry this DRY ICE THEORY that he had heard about to see if that would do any good.  FOLKS...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON THE DRY ICE......didn't work like a lick!  Fun exercise but not worth the effort since it did NOT work.
But....I have to give him an A+ for trying it out anyway.
AAHHH......meet Veli ja Sisar Airaksinen from Finland!!  They arrived in our home on Tuesday afternoon.  They are in the country because their daughter is getting married this Friday in the Washington D.C. Temple.  It is soooooo good to have our dear friends here visiting with us.  I think they know me well......a little gift of my favorite MARIMEKKO kitchen mitts was perfect.  And they will match my new kitchen perfectly....white cabinets and black appliances!
We had fun catching up since we left Finland the end of April.  We had been to their home many times.
Steven and Elinn and their children were able to come over and visit with them and have dessert with us.
And a little picture of the 4 of us was in order, of course.
Since we are only about 10 minutes from Harpers Ferry, they wanted to take a drive over there and look around.  They had been there about 15 years ago and wanted to see if they could remember anything.
It was getting late and the sun was going down but we had enough light to see a few things.....
We did not realize that we live at about the HALF WAY POINT of the Appalachian Trail.  Cool.
Okay.....I think that brings me up to date for a day or two!  I will see if I can be better about staying CURRENT on the goings on around here.  Somehow.....Somehow......
